HDJ1000 Headphone Reviews

They are excellent at falling off your head.
They are not ear-hugging, they have exposed wireing, because they are NOT real.

These are NOT real HDJ1000s. They fall of your head because there is no pressure applied to your ears. They have exposed wireing due to poor manufacturing. They were compared in life to real ones and immediately differences were exposed; smaller head cushion, different materials different sizes. these clearly are not what i thought i had ordered, i do not recommend these.

this is one great set, the range, look, duability, and price made me jump on these (i saw these phones from $125 -$199) i was shopping and still willing 2 spend $175
no color choice 4 headphones...10+yrs ago Pioneer stopped putting Sleep timers on their AV recievers...

since they r Full Size headphones they will hang next 2 my 1977 SE-205's, kinda like a time warp. I have all pioneer equiment(for over 25yrs now)-only because it all works so well together and the SR remote makes my life ezI have a pairs of 1975 Altech Lansing's(cost as much as a Pinto/vega in 1975), Bose 301's, Bose(GRAY)cubes, pushing 400 CLEAN watts, now i cant decide if i should turn on A speaker, B speaker or these Killer Headphones?

Audio quality is superb, powerful bass response, mono/stereo switch, comfortable, long cord, nice leather carrying pouch..
Built on cheap plastic that will eventually break after heavy usage.

Pioneer has been developing some serious high quality dj gear for some time now, and these headphones are no exception. These headphones offer superb sound, deep bass response and crystal clear definition, which is and should be the main reason why you should get a pair ASAP. Additionally, they feature a mono/stereo switch which is extremely useful for single-ear monitoring. On the other side, if you are a travelling DJ like me, you should excercise extreme caution when handling them (try getting cheaper sony's/senheiser's for practice at home), and never, I say never, lend them at all, not even to your girlfriend because they're built on somewhat cheap plastic which will eventually crack at the joints, which in my opinion is unacceptable for this price tag.

Awesome Bass Ouput, Response Range, Excellent Quality Sound, Long Cord, Carrying Bag, Compact Fold Up for easy transportation, and Stereo/Mono switch. (And the chrome look)
Ears Hurt After Wearing for hour or more.

I like everything about them but the painful ear pain that I have after wearing them for so long. The bass is very loud and doesn't require any other EQ to receive that bass output.

Deep bass, comfortable, durable, QUALITY SOUND.
None

Moved into an apt and wanted the great sound quality that my neighbors would not be forced to enjoy as well. Best sounding headphones I have ever heard. Noise cancelling would be nice addition. Pure quality headphones and the mono to stereo switch is a great feature when you flip one of the sides out.
